Join us at Yoga4Lyfe to celebrate International Yoga Day with a FREE class between 5:15pm and 6:15pm. Our instructors will lead 108 sun salutations!

The number 108 holds significance in the religions and philosophies upon which modern yoga is based. It is believed by some to represent human existence, while others see it as a marker of impending achievement. It's common for yogis to perform 108 sun salutations at the change of seasons, during the spring or winter equinox.

To sign up for the class, please click the "Register" button below. This will direct you to MINDBODY, where you can choose your class time. Feel free to register for both sessions to complete the full 108 Sun Salutations, or just one to participate partially.

Instructor Bio - Shana Baumgartner has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching yoga for 10 years. She completed a 500-hour certification in Vinyasa-style yoga and a 30-hour certification in Somatic Yoga. Her yoga practice has evolved throughout the years to become more introspective and philosophical, with an emphasis on anxiety and stress reduction. Her teaching reflects this with creative sequences that draw on her knowledge of Yin, Somatic, Restorative, Hatha, Kripalu, and Vinyasa styles of yoga.

Inversions are for everyone and are part of a well rounded yoga practice. Erica will guide you through practices that will build a solid foundation for safely including inversions in your practice. For students that already practice inversions, this workshop will refresh and reinforce good habits as you advance in your practice.

Instructor Bio - Erica has been teaching yoga in the Lehigh Valley since 1998. She was drawn to Ashtanga after experimenting with other styles and classes for several years. Erica believes that we are always students, we should never stop learning and trying new things, and that any type of yoga is all part of that path. When taking an Ashtanga class with Erica, students can expect some fun changes worked into the traditional practice. One of the reasons she loves to teach yoga is to help others manage stress through the movements and breathing during practice and believes that this benefit of yoga can be carried into other parts of life. Erica started teaching 40 hour teacher trainings in the mid 2000's which has evolved into the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registered training that she currently offers through Emmaus Yoga.

Celebrate International Yoga Day at Yoga4Lyfe with this FREE evening class from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Our instructors will guide you through 108 sun salutations! 

The number 108 is significant to the religions and philosophies that yoga today has been founded on. Some believe it represents humankind's existence. Others find it signifies one is about to achieve an important goal in life. You may have even heard of yogis performing 108 sun salutations to welcome in the spring or winter equinox. We thought this number was fitting to celebrate the day the whole world recognizes yoga!

To register for class, click the "Register" button below. It will lead you to MINDBODY, where the class is broken down by the hour. You are not bound to stay all three hours of class! If you would like to arrive at 5pm but leave by 6pm, that's fine. If you want to arrive at 6:45pm and stay until 8pm, that is also fine.
